Description

The Sticky Starleaf, a unique flora, thrives in marshy areas and wetlands. It is characterized by its broad, star-shaped petals coated in a thick, sticky substance. Standing approximately 1 foot tall, its leaves spread out in a star pattern, lending the plant its name.

Properties

The leaves of the Sticky Starleaf possess an incredible adhesive quality. Any creature that comes into contact with the plant becomes ensnared and is effectively grappled. To extricate itself, the creature must succeed on a DC 12 Strength (Athletics) check. The plant does not inflict any damage but holds the creature in place until it can free itself.

Cultivation

Cultivation of the Sticky Starleaf requires a wet environment abundant in sunlight. The plant prefers acidic soil and requires regular watering. Once fully matured, the leaves can be harvested by carefully severing them at the stem. Once picked, they retain their stickiness for 1 hour.

Applications

Approximately 50 flowers can produce a vial of sticky material that, when poured or thrown, adheres to anyone traversing over it. Additionally, the sticky substance can be collected and utilized as a natural adhesive in various crafts and constructions.
