Fikusgonus

Description

The Fikusgonus, a rare and perilous flora, flourishes in areas of decay, such as swamps or cursed forests. It boasts dark purple leaves that appear to absorb light, and insects can frequently be observed crawling all around it. The plant emits a pungent odor reminiscent of rotting vegetation, and no other vegetation grows in its vicinity, or the surrounding vegetation appears to be rotten.

Properties

Any plants or plant-type creatures within a 10 ft radius of the Fikusgonus begin to wither and decay, incurring 1d4 necrotic damage per round.

Cultivation

Relocating a Fikusgonus is a relatively straightforward task as long as there are other plants around it to consume and grow. These plants do not originate from seeds but are rather a modification performed by wizards and necromancers. A spell that inflicts necrotic damage must be cast on a plant for over a month until it begins transforming into a Fikusgonus. When the Fikusgonus blooms, its flowers can be harvested for later use.

Applications

Fikusgonus flowers can be processed into a poison by adding salt, dragon manure, and a dead plant. The poison does not affect creatures, but a plant-type creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC 16) or take 3d8 damage on each of its turns until it succeeds on the saving throw.
