Thunderous Clapper
Description
The Thunderous Clapper, a unique bloom, is distinguished by its two large leaves. Every five minutes, these leaves clap together, producing a potent shockwave. The plant flourishes in dense forests and is quite rare, often growing in isolation as its shockwaves displace surrounding vegetation. This makes it easily identifiable in the dense forest as it will be the only plant without surrounding greenery. Locals often maintain one in their villages as a natural timekeeper, and some shamans have even been known to modify them to clap at specific times of day, such as every 12 hours.
Properties
Every 5 minutes, the Thunderous Clapper claps its leaves together, propelling everything within a 5 ft. radius flying 15 ft. away.
Cultivation
Replanting a Thunderous Clapper requires patience and a pot that can withstand the force of its claps. When excavating the plant, it’s crucial to time it correctly to avoid being displaced by the shockwave. Harvesting a leaf from the Clapper results in the plant’s demise.
Applications
The leaves of the Thunderous Clapper have various uses. They can serve as an effective fan, but when pressed and dried, they can be combined with gravel and water to create a wand of gust of wind. The leaves can also be blended into a cocktail that endows the consumer with a booming voice, often utilized by leaders when addressing large crowds.
